Something new to worry about – could your girlfriend explode?

You met her last week, and she seems nice enough. Plus she looks great. But now she’s pressuring you to take her on a trans-Atlantic flight to Europe. What about this possibility: Could your girlfriend’s breast implants be explosive, and she is planning to blow up the plane?

Bosom bombers: Women have explosive breast implants

Women suicide bombers recruited by al-Qaida are known to have had the explosives inserted in their breasts under techniques similar to breast enhancing surgery. The lethal explosives – usually PETN (pentaerythritol Tetrabitrate) – are inserted during the operation inside the plastic shapes. The breast is then sewn up.

It goes both ways – women also have to worry if their boyfriend’s six-pack and buttocks are real or enhanced with PETN. And it makes sense, given that there is no easy way for screeners to check for authentic as opposed to explosive implants.
